Rochester Tower

Rochester Airport EGTO is 2 miles south of Rochester, 400' above sea level on the North Downs in Kent [map]. It has 2 large grass runways and all the facilities of a licenced airfield. There is also a very good café.

The school Eurostar is kept in one of the very large hangars at Rochester along with a few students' fixed-wing microlights and an assortment of other aircraft. The Quik GTR is kept fully rigged in a purpose-built hangar which also has plenty of space available for students' de-rigged aircraft.

Rochester Airport is open 7 days a week. It is a busy airfield with a mixture of flying activities. As Rochester is an established airfield students may fly intensive circuits / touch and go's and will also learn how to use the radio. Microlights can be flown from reasonably small fields and during your training we will visit a few of the many little farm strips in the south east.

Being about an hour from the French coast, I can also offer ‘Tour and Train’ courses, from a day trip to Le Touquet to a week or more touring France / Europe, working our way through the syllabus for your NPPL.
